"When I arrived at the hotel and presented my credit card, I was told that the credit card machine was broken and that I would have to pay cash instead. They were perfectly willing to turn me away and let me wander around the dirt roads around the hotel looking for any other hotel that might be willing to take me in at the last minute without a reservation.
