"Cadaqués is beautiful, not easy to get to without a car, and has limited hotel options. The Octavia is perfectly located, clean, simple, nice rooms, and a good value (keeping in mind that high season for tourism inflates everything in Spain). Access to a parking lot shared by two hotels is a plus, but the policy of no reservations for parking makes that a gamble. "

"The hotel is in a perfect location and it is worth paying a little extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Unfortunately the paintwork was in very poor state and the room needed a makeover as it looked tired. My king size bed was actually two singles pushed together so there was an uncomfortable ridge down the centre. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. "Not fancy but clean. Perfect for one night (no kettle, no microwave, no fridge). Good beds. Overall somewhat run-down but everything works (including the AC). The one glitch was that a gentleman at the front desk was supposed to call me a taxi at 12:20 for 12:30 to get to the train station, but he forgot. "Nice hotel just over the boarder into Spain. google maps struggled to get us to the hotel due to many industrial type roads, some that were blocked by bollards & a fairly busy area. That said hotel was great friendly check in, plenty of free onsite parking. Didn’t have a kettle in the room, but reception gave us some hot water. We used the hotel for an overnight stop on rout, would stay again, had many shops around the area. "
