"Didnt get off to the best start, as the transfer the hotel arranged from the airport didnt arrive. Apparently the driver had had an emergency. Got a cab from outside the terminal for US$35 which was fine. Also, when we arrived, the fridge/freezer wasnt working. Someone came to look at it the next morning and sorted it out. The room was functional but clean and suitable for our needs for two nights. After the initial hiccups, the staff checked to see if we were ok on three different occasions,...

"Ocean spray apartments are an absolute dream! The staff was wonderful and helpful, and the area around is stunning. The restaurant is currently being built but my husband and I checked out the local markets close by and found lots of food to make ourselves with fresh eggs, fruit and bread. There are tons of bus stops that can take you all over the island if you dont want to rent a car, if you ask the bus drivers they will always either take you to where you need to go, or point you in the best...

"The food was good. A couple of times a week they have buffet style dining. Otherwise it's a la carte. They're strict on dining dress code. Some staff were more friendly than others. Location is only a three minute walk to the beach. "

"We enjoyed being so close to the beach and to restaurants. Property is well maintained and rooms are clean and well kept. Staff are very polite. We like that the property supplied beach towels as well. We found out from a server at the Tropical Mist that their hotel is "sisters" with Blue Haven and that we could have come over to use the pool etc.... We found that out at the end of our trip and would have been nice to know sooner."
