"Recently renovated so no sign of 'tired carpets' or similar: everything immaculate. Possibly denuded of any real 'alpine' feel in the process though. Staff all very polite and helpful. My room had a hoid sized shower room (shiny floor as is so often the case - good job i had flip flops) but the room itself was far from spacious. Nevertheless the bed was very comfortable and the sounproofing was excellent. And what views! I was on a corner and had virws of mountains out if both - expecially...

What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. "The hotel and staff were great however when we stayed it was exstremly warm 31 deg C. The rooms do not have air con and the only thing we could do was open the window whichthen meant our room would settle at 31 deg C. As it was cooler on the night we left the window open but we got a lot of noise from the train station. All in all yes we would stay there again as the staff were great and hotel spotless."
