"We stayed in the ocean view room. The room was nice and the view was amazing. The staff was good. There is no daily house keeping, which was fine for us, they did ask of we needed any new towels or toilet paper. The location was great and overall it was a good experience. The food wasn’t the best. Also the music was super loud every night. We were able to sleep through it since we were exhausted, but it is something to be aware of. "Very dated furniture/ decor and a little basic , no hot water insects in the bathroom , However all is forgiven when you step onto the balcony the view was to die for could have sat on that balcony everyday for the rest of my life , truly phenomenal "

"There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach"

"The location of this property is excellent. A one minute walk gets you to the main road where there are shops and restaurants and then cross the street and you are in the beach. The room was big and clean but unfortunately I had to change rooms after my first night there. The fellow that runs the place is friendly and super helpful. There are lots of stairs in this property but the owner takes your luggage up to the room for you."
