"Stokes Bay, and thus the cabins, is isolated. Situated on the cliff face, looking north, one is surrounded by silence and peace, mixed with dozens of kangaroos and even some sheep. Nearby is the only restaurant, sadly open only till 5 pm; so bring your own food or consider a drive to Kingcote (sadly with roo-danger for the nightly return. We stayed three nights to have a holiday… make daytime excursions and enjoy evenings at the cabin. Highly recommended, but not if you expect action!"

"Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning."

"If you love an amazing view then this is the place that you want to stay. You could spend hours just watching the changing view during the day. We had a wallaby and her joey feed around the cabin which was lovely. Easy walk to the beach to enjoy either the beautiful beach or to enjoy some fishing. The bed was comfy but the couches could do with an update. We were lucky enough to not have anyone else in the other cabin as there is not enough separation or privacy if there was someone else...

"New furniture in room was nice & bed was comfy , definitely need an extra blanket though . Kitchen wasn’t clean , light globes need replacing , floors needed cleaning & outside was very dirty . Fantastic staff & food at the pub . "

"This property is perfect if you want to be away from everything. Its secluded and relaxing - with great views and plenty of wildlife about. Its completely off grid with solar electricity and water from tanks. The room has everything you need for a short or even and extended stay. Plenty of cooking equipment, a full sized fridge with freezer and tea and coffe with a kettle and microwave. We really enjoyed our 5 days here."

"Fabulous place to stay the apartment is close to the ferry (walking distance) and Penneshaw amenities and looks out over a lovely little marina and the ocean Couldn’t have asked for a better place and the owners were great "

"An ideal location for the ferry. The house has great views. Modern with everything that any type of traveller might need. When the road works are completed there will be easier access to the main body of rhe Island, albeit as it currently is, we had no problems."
