"This is a large popular hotel with beach access and good facilities. It is popular with families and at some times of the day feels a little “package” holiday with lots of noise from pool areas and very busy breakfast areas BUT it is possible to escape the crowd and find a space to relax. The onsite parking is good and staff are friendly. The rooms are large, clean and well maintained, bathrooms are spotless and views just lovely."

"Lovely room with nice view from the balcony, pool area was excellent! Breakfast buffet was great, nice location walking distance to markets, restaurants and there is deli on the same floor as breakfast area"

"Everything was good and well and we checked in early but we left our luggage with the concierge and went for shopping. The hotel reception was very friendly and helpful. They called and updated our room was ready and helped us to keep our luggage in the room. It’s a very nice hotel but one thing to improve on the quality of their breakfast & more options available. Will surely return again when we comes to Penang "

"Liked the heritage aspects and the large rooms Very noisy, preventing sleep when events are held next door (at the Majestic) and during clean-up/restoration afterwards due to unmotivated and untrained staff used at the venue."

"Hotel staff are nice. The room is clean and tidy. Walkable distance to Komtar (close to where you can take a bus to Ipoh) and very close to Kimberley Street Food Night Market. There is a higher end restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel but we didn't eat inside."
