"We had a great stay at Fenix West. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious w a fully equipped kitchen and beautiful Mountain View. We especially appreciate the shuttle services to and from town, which made our trip so much more enjoyable and easy to plan. There is no Onsen in the hotel but there is one conveniently in the hotel across the street, which kind of solve the issue. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel "

"Quiet and soothing location on the foothills of ski slopes . Kitchen is very thoughtfully stocked with pots and pans , cups and even salt and pepper and soya sauce . Even toaster, kettle, coffee machine , rice cooker , fridge, microwave are all provided in the room . Views are breathtaking. There is a washing machine and even soap is provided. "A quaint and clean Bed & Breakfast that houses 4 rooms, run by a couple. The establishment is located far from everything, but this was not an issue for me as I had a car. However, if you do not have a vehicle, this could be a challenge. The Bed & Breakfast is ideal for couples and single travelers looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat. However, I would not recommend it for families with children of any age. Kids being kids tend to make more noise, which can be bothersome for the operator....

"This property was not as described. The owner wanted to charge for everything (ie: to use the BBQ was an extra cost, washing detergent was extra etc). The property certainly did not accommodate 7 people as described. Not happy with our experience. We checked out early (3 days) as this property was impractical. "
