"Probably one of the largest hotel rooms we've enjoyed in Europe, and really nicely decorated. Natural timber and modern finishes, with cool textured feature walls and murals made it quite memorable. Staying a little further out from the city centres in Europe typically gives you better value. "

"So time of year is a major factor when booking at this hotel as with most authentic German hotels there is no AC in the rooms. Avoid a sunny room because masonry buildings retain heat from the day. The breakfast room and courtyard dinning were superb."

I heard no noise from the street or hotel, as you can often here the next room in hotels like this. Breakfast was pleasant. All parts of the hotel were very clean and all staff very friendly. "Hard to spot on from the street, the lobby/restaurant area is very nice and cozy. Staff super friendly, maybe even a bit shy but super nice people. Carpet and inside of rooms ... very old looking... it definitely needs a lift. But overall a good stay."
