"We really enjoyed our stay, stumbled across the place whilst searching for a local area to stay. Rooms were beautiful, shower was amazing, food delicious, good selection of drinks. Breakfast was cooked to our liking. The only downside was not enough plug sockets in the room to charge phones/tablets etc but this was a minor thing. We loved the place and are looking to go again. "

"We would love to stay again, really enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, dinner & breakfast both relaxed and beautifully cooked. Dog freindly, so was great for us. The space is understandibly put aside mostly for diners with tables set up, but the bar area could really do with being larger and more comfy seating. Posh, obnoxious kids took over in the bar which was annoying, but that is not the establishments fault."

"Brilliant stay again at the Windmill. Dinner was superb. Room was quiet and well cared for. Like many places it could do with a spruce up but the quality of service and wonderful environment make up for any minor blemishes. Food was amazing. We were staying for St Val’s night and thought it might affect our stay but it was a delicious dinner. Whenever I see a lot of options on a menu I’m concerned the quality might be mediocre. Not here. "We had a lovely two night stay. We ate in the first night and the food is good pub grub. The breakfasts were very generous and tasty. Barry the landlord is a diamond. We would definitely recommend a visit. "

"It was a nice stay. I had a long term stay that was over 30 days. I had the double room, and i felt like it was cramped due to the ceilings. I had to constantly be stooping over or craining my neck in the room. I wouldn't rebook this room for a stay longer than a week. The owner was great and very nice."

"This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free and small. The hotel is set back from the road, so you need to drive down a gravel roadway. Nice greeting on checking in. I was in room 6, which was great. Desk and chair to work at in room, comfortable bed, ensuite was lovely. The shower over the bath was not powerful. Lovely side lamps by bed. TV and internet were good. I also ate in bar (as there was no other choice nearby) and the homemade fish pie was tasty. Food ends at 8:30pm."
