"This hotel is in the heart of central Amsterdam so conveniently located to walk to the train station, the red light district, restaurants and shops as well as tons of touristy spots. Be prepared for a louder experience as Amsterdam does not sleep, but that is not the hotel's fault, just part of the deal. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable."

"Loved this hotel everything was great including the breakfast. The only downside is that there is not too much around the hotel but there is a good supermarket that sells hot food. There is a very good ferry service to the main city centre that runs every 6-10 minutes 24 hours per day. Would definitely stay here again."

"The Highlander is in a great area right in Central Amsterdam, there is access to all forms of transportation and majority of things are within walking distance. Our room was a little cold at times, despite adjusting the heating, especially the bathroom. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"We had a lovely three day stay and the location and hotel was perfect for a city break. The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. Location is absolutely perfect. You are in the middle of everything and no need to take tram/public transport to any of the sites. The five minute walk to the station was also brilliant. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Amsterdam."
