"First I can not say enough about the staff at Kohea Kai. They really made us feel welcomed from when we first stepped onto the property. Nestled right across the street from the beach and minutes drive down to Safeway and Foodland, this was the perfect location for us on our trip in Maui. It was also 8 mins from our first surfing lessons. The room was big, comfortable with a nice kitchen. While it did show some signs of age, it was lovely and homey and our kids loved it. Had AC, ceiling fans, 2 bathrooms. Let us stay late due to pending storm, very accommodating. Grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. Swimming pool great. Friendly staff. "

"The apartment was good with all amenities. The inconvenience was lack of a proper restaurant and convenience store. Unless one has a car no nearly place to buy grocery and necessary things to cook in the apartment. There was only a deli where we could buy sandwich and such eatables. We had to take a taxi whenver we wanted to buy anything like milk, bread etc. No regular public transport either. Though we had a nice apartment with all kitchen utensils we could not cook anything during our stay....
