"I booked this hotel very last minute just for a short impromptu break. I mostly picked it for location and that it had a good mix of low cost and reasonable reviews. It worked perfectly well for the stay. The room was a good size and had all the things you might expect. It did seem to be pretty hot even with the radiators switched off. "Nice hotel good food and friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are very nice too. Unfortunately the bathrooms let it down. The shower screens are too short so water goes everywhere and floods the bathroom and the sinks are not bathroom sinks, they are designed for small toilets and there are no hooks on the doors. They are so small you can't get the kettle in to fill it up and if you do something like washing your face, again water goes everywhere, not good. Shame because the rest of the hotel is...

"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "
