"The hotel was very well located, with a really good porch or outdoor seating area overlooking the river. It was quiet and restful, but close to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. The building is dated, but the rooms and bathrooms have been updated, and it has all you need. "

"Shower curtain in bathroom not long enough and did not reach shower floor which led to leakage and accumulation of water on small bathroom floor. Outside switch to spa did not work. Advised by reception later they needed to be advised if spa use was required so that it could be turned on by them . Suggest that sign be attached near outside switch to contact reception when spa has been turned off "

"Fantastic staff...Rooms are more than sufficient, clean and tidy...My only negatives are , No power points beside the bed , to plug laptops etc into and being a tall gent , I find the shower heads are mounted too low...Both are only minor issues tho...I have stayed here numerous times before and will continue to do so in future...I rate the Ashwood Motel a very solid 9 / 10...Thank you for another fantastic stay...Cheers...Bruce."

"The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Reception was unattended when I arrived. It was a short wait for someone to come. The main issueis that Depite repeated requests and promises to comply for an invoice I have yet to receive one. As a business traveller I need the invoice for records. Promises to email one to me have been unfilled. I requested an invoiceat check in, emailed a request and phoned the hotel directly. Each time given an acknowledgement it would be sent. "We stayed in a 2 bedroom loft cottage. It was lovely and spacious, comfy beds (although I would suggest bringing own pillow). The garden's were lovely and nice pools. The tv in our cottage was in a strange position, ie not in front of the lounges which was a bit frustrating to watch. The restaurant was also being renovated during our stay so no-where to eat but there was a range of courtesy buses available to pubs etc. But all up nice place to stay. "
