"I arrived later than I had planned and was very cold as I was on my motorbike on my way to the Dragon Rally. When I arrived in my room, the heating was on and the room was lovely and warm. It really made a difference and was much appreciated. Usually when I arrive at a hotel, the heating is off. Lovely staff, great location and excellent value for money. "

"Swift and easy check-in. The family room had two bedrooms which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could have done with a rubber bath mat but found out later we could have asked for one. Similarly de-caff tea and coffee I guess. We had our 4-year-old granddaughter with us but there were no issues with noise from the bar below. Limited menu but food was very good. Steaks were lovely. Nice pint too. Great breakfast. "Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. "Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. We ate in the restaurant with the menu offering a good variety of food and we we very happy with the quality of the food. Finally a big thank you to Dela who was a supMagerb host. "

"We had a nice stay, loved the bed, so comfy! Super quiet location even though it was a main road and a Friday night, although we had a room at the back which probably helped. Packed breakfast was nice and convenient too. TV didn't work when we got there even with Richard helping, but eventually we managed to get bbc 1+2 later in the evening, so I'd advise you take a fire stick or just watch your phone.
