"My colleagues who stayed there were appalled at the state of this place . The room was filthy and look at the state of the shower screen - covered in Algae . The pictures on Hotels.com look good but probably taken about 10 years ago when the place was last cleaned . The boys were given another room but it was just as bad so they checked out without staying there at all. "

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "This is a charming old school hotel. Great food and lovely rooms. But we were disappointed when we arrived on Feb 5 to discover the heating had been turned off. "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and sauna were also really nice after a day out in the cold, seeing the seals and exploring. Food good in the attached restaurant and the breakfast selection was excellent. The hotel is generally in good condition, but our room looked a little tired in places and our first morning no hot water (all ok second night). The bed was great, big & comfy, room was quiet despite facing the road. We'd be happy to stay again if we were in the area."

"Our one night stay at the Hatfield Lodge was perfectly adequate, the room was clean and comfortable and the walk-in shower was good. Our only issue was, that the bed was a small double, but it was comfortable. "

"The hotel is in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Centre of Oulton Broad where there is a lovely park, in interesting museum (with free entry) and a few pubs and restaurants. You can also take a boat trip from here. We highly recommend the food at the hotel, our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful."
