"Greeted with a warm and kind welcome. Very easy to find and plenty of parking on site. It was a perfect choice for the 1 night stay we had in breaking a long drive from the north of Scotland to south yorkshire. Food and drink in the inn was very nice and the service by the staff likewise. Breakfast was included in the cost of the stay and we knew it was going to be as good as its past reviews. All in all a great stay."

"The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries. "The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was acceptable with a good shower. The breakfasts were basic, and the dinners were pub style but adequate. The area is right in the countryside and the historic village church is well worth a visit"
