"Such a cute hotel. The spa area is superb. Note if traveling with kids, only 6 and older can use the hot tub. The pool however was also warm enough to swim/play in. Breakfast has great variety and both indoor and cover outdoor seating with gas heaters. There is noise from the highway but we slept right through it. Rooms are nice and showers are excellent. Staff are very nice. "

"Definitely a historical site if you want to relive that good 'ol Colonialist past. Staff are great and while you might not have all the modern amenities, you will enjoy the best sitting areas I've seen. Alexander Graham Bell would be proud of the post industrial collection of phones at this location. It really is something you want to experience. For giggles; the hallways will remind you of scenes from "The Shining". No kidding ... it was fun!"

"For an old Victorian, it was wonderful. Big gap under the door for the adjoining room and there was a snorer that occupied the room. I tried to shove a Towel under the door to close the gap but like most Victorians the walls and doors were thin.. Still loved the property and would recommend it when in Ferndale."

"I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. "
