"After booking a room with a shower over bath in error (my fault, partner visually impaired at the minute) staff were very helpfull in relocating us in a room with a walk in shower. Very pleased with the new room and breakfast next morning was excellent."

"Allowed to get room early at no extra charge which was a bonus. Unlike last time I needed to book in early as I wanted to get to the football. She was adamant I needed to pay £20 Even though the room was ready. which was a bit steep. So obviously I didn't take. When I came back in the evening she was very busy and had to keep people waiting in order to sort my room. Lot less hassle if she had just given me my room. "

"Unusual and quirky room.Decorated really well.Above a pub but quiet. Only quibble, no one around when checking out as pub closed at 10 am.No instructions where to leave the keys.Had to leave them in the door lock."

"Very friendly helpful staff, room was smaller than expected but was fine for what we needed. Only down side was the phone screen in the room kept turning on about every 30 mins or so in the night hence lighting up the whole room. Breakfast excellent."

"Nervous to visit after reading reviews. However, there is a lot of refurbishment going on. The downstairs looks fabulous and the car park/outside space is being worked on. The room was ropey, window held open with a block of wood and a pane of glass missing. Curtains not hanging correctly and a socket out. But, we arrived when they were busy and so checking in was delayed. The staff apologised for wait, and the room! The breakfast was absolutely banging and the staff were exceptional. Helpful...

"Excellently situated on the high street. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room and facilities were ideal. My only criticism of the room is that the lighting could have been better. There were lots of lamps but they did not give enough light. "
