"Our stay at Kenmare Bay Hotel was pleasant. The staff are very nice. Our room and bath were clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast and dinner options are very good. The hotel is within a 3 minute walk from the center of Kenmare, which has numerous restaurants and shops. We did have a problem with the heat. "This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location. My problem is the lack of communication. I had to email 3 times before getting instructions on how to pick up the key. When we arrived, the boiler had been completely turned off so I emailed the caretaker for instructions on lighting the fireplace to provide heat until the boiler came up. No response. "We had a great time here, lots of open space for the 4 kids ages 8-14 to play, make friends. Great horse riding instructors, very patient and careful. We stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage, it was everything and MORE than what we expected. Fully equipped is an understatement, you could cook, bake, grill outdoors if you wanted to (we did no cooking). We even had an outdoor picnic table and wine glasses."
