"Checkin went smoothly and the room was nice. My only issue was the breakfast, they had a nice varity but only 1 or 2 of things (one english muffin or two chocolate milks). I noticed this every morning (going different times each day) for my 5 day stay. The eggs were warm at best and when I asked if they had a microwave to warm them up, I was told NO without an explanation or additional information. I would recommend anyone staying here but take the breakfast back to your room to warm it up...

"We brought our telescopes for astrophotography but unfortunately the weather was uncooperative. The house itself is a little dated but otherwise nice. Minor issues only, and was spot on for what we expected. Would probably not do as a romantic getaway or something but as a budget friendly convenient place for dark skies it fits the bill. Big backyard was good for our numerous telescopes. "

"The ranch is a little hard to find on Google Maps as we were driving over in the dark after viewing wildflowers in Anza Borrego- it's actually opposite the Warner Springs Ranch gas station. We were saved by an alert and super helpful security guard who spotted us! The cottage is small and cozy, with two heaters in case it gets cold. Basic amenities were provided. It was a good place for us to get a rest and sleep before heading back up to the Bay Area the next day."

"We stayed a few times at the property, both in 1Bdrm and 2Bdrm units. SD Country Estates is an older time-share property, which means that units are quite generous in size, very nice but show their age (mostly on the appliance and fixtures side). However, there are extremely clean, well-equipped and maintained, and very welcoming. Amenities are fine, the pool small but pleasant and the place quiet and relaxing. It is not easy to find (not a good idea to come after dark), quite far from the town...

"Ok, so It's no "lakeside" house, I get it! But being in the back of someone else house is another story. It's cheap, but you could get a better, safer place for $100/night. 3.5 stars is the real joke. Ever wonder why the listing only shows nice pictures of the interior? Because if you google earth this place, this place and its neighborhood will make you want to only stay inside... that is, ofcourse, if you can make it there safely.
