The location is also a big plus—just a short and easy walk to the town centre and harbour, making it perfect for exploring Inverness. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit small And less utilities. "

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

Coastline north of Port Earlish Low tide reveals a few rocks in the square. I got to within 4m of standing on them, but it was too precarious to make the last couple of leaps into the square - or to get my camera out. The rocks are slippery and the water is a lot deeper than it looks from here. This picture was taken from about 20m outside the square.
