"Convenient location off the motorway near Kendal, less east of travelling north. Wasn’t clear if there was specific parking and couldn’t park close to doors so difficult with luggage. Rooms were a bit tired and needs some maintenance. Staff were friendly. Recommend purchasing food at the services further north as only Costa and McDonald’s available "

"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. The service was very quick and the staff weren’t very enthusiastic and didn’t really know the etiquette of whether you’d finished or not. "It was very quiet when i stayed in December, well out of season. But the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. As it was so quiet, the bar wasnt open but there are good pubs a few steps away. I would stay here again quite happily. "
