"A wonderful place to stay for a Lake District break. Hugely spacious, everything finished to a high standard and extremely comfortable. Our only problem was thinking the key for the door was at the front when it was round the back but once we were in we were all hugely impressed. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay. "Although there was on site restaurant it was closed for bookings and only take away Saturday and Sunday, then beginning of new week it did not open until Thursday and was fully booked both remaining days even though tried booking for Friday on Thursday. Of course there are cooking facilities in the room but when you book a week away you would like ro be able to have a meal without having to drive. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay in a lovely place."

"Nice place, the DEN once I found it, but to be fair I probably didn’t follow the directions , what can I say? i’m a bloke. The property itself, very nice and secluded on a working farm - we had all manner of animals sharing the patio with us, chickens, roosters (no they didn’t wake us up), ducks, goats, peacocks… Enjoyed it "

"Lovely little cottage, close to Penrith, keswick and ullswater so plenty of options for things to do. The cottage is ideal for the two of us and the pooch, and is our second time staying there and most likely will be returning next year. We even saw a red squirrel which was very nice, though it was too fast for a photograph. The bed is comfy and the shower is amazing after a long walk. It's pretty much got everything you need. Another great stay at Erikas cottage. "

"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"
