"It is a lovely cottage but be mindful the garden on the photos is not actually accessible from the property as its actually a first floor apartment and there are steep steps up to the front door. There were a few snags which I emailed the host about, mainly odd repairs and renewals needed. Also a coffee machine is provided but without the requisite pods to actually make coffee which seemed odd. Lovely location though and stunning views from the living room and second bedroom. "Nice place, the DEN once I found it, but to be fair I probably didn’t follow the directions , what can I say? i’m a bloke. The property itself, very nice and secluded on a working farm - we had all manner of animals sharing the patio with us, chickens, roosters (no they didn’t wake us up), ducks, goats, peacocks… Enjoyed it "

"Although there was on site restaurant it was closed for bookings and only take away Saturday and Sunday, then beginning of new week it did not open until Thursday and was fully booked both remaining days even though tried booking for Friday on Thursday. Of course there are cooking facilities in the room but when you book a week away you would like ro be able to have a meal without having to drive. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay in a lovely place."

"Great location on the edge of the lakes with the convenience of a town centre location for access to bars and restaurants. Comfortable and clean property. Just be aware that access to the loo is through one of the bedrooms, wasn't a problem for us as I slept through my friends nipping through but could be a problem for others. I would stay here again. Recommend the Raj for curry and the Dockray pub for live music. "

"A wonderful place to stay for a Lake District break. Hugely spacious, everything finished to a high standard and extremely comfortable. Our only problem was thinking the key for the door was at the front when it was round the back but once we were in we were all hugely impressed. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay. "Stayed for a long weekend; perfect location and great amenities. We were luckily enough to see a red squirrel! The crows were a little annoying but very little you can do about that, they must have been nesting so we had our very own personal early alarm call! Would reccommend the cottage and would definitely go back if visiting the region again. Only thing to mention would be the mould that was starting to develop on the bathroom ceiling."
