"My hotels.com reservation never made it to the hotel even tho i had confirmation from 7 days prior. The 2 wonderful front desk ladies searched for half hour and were unable to find it. Thankfully they were able to find us a room! The hotel was wonderful, excpetionally clean and all the staff were so helpful! "

"The room reeked of cat pee. There was unspecified poop looking piles on the floor. This unit included a small kitchen, but it was missing cabinets and the ceiling was falling in all over the room. The second I walked in I wouldn’t even set my toddler on the floor and knew we wouldn’t be able to stay and went ahead to find another place to stay. I will say the guy at the front desk was super nice and he did offer me another room! I didn’t catch his name but he was wearing a hat with the tag still...

"We've stayed at Oakwood a few times and it's always very clean, comfortable and well kept. However, this time we noticed that the air vent on our room was rusty and the flooring was coming loose and made funky slapping noises as we walked around our room. It seems like upkeep has gone a little downhill lately. That's sad to see because we really like staying here."

"Nice, clean facility and rooms. Staff was very helpful and kind, especially the person at the front desk during the day. Only disappointment was one Saturday breakfast they ran out of almost all food but cereal and toast and there was no explanation or apology."

"They did not have the room that we booked. We booked the suite with two queen beds and a pull out couch. They were overbooked for this room not only for ourselves but for everyone in line. We were given a king bed with a pull out couch. "

"This home had absolutely EVERYTHING we needed for a long weekend by the lake. Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are comfortable, the yard has a swing and lots of birds, and the fire pit made the nights sooo relaxing. The property is a short walk away from the local campground- we rented a pontoon from them and had a great time on the lake. This place is perfect for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. 100 stars!!! "
