In any case, surely that 4-digit code should be texted or emailed to guests prior to their arrival. So, my initial impression of the hotel was not good. "Recently refurbished, but not complete ... smart TVs not yet connected properly, for example. Done up to a nice standard, but a few minor snagging and design issues. There was quite a bit of street noise outside my room, but it was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive."

"Nice old coaching Inn style hotel . Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast excellent and freshly cooked . Dinner good but restaurant closed on Fridays . Reception very good- willing to adjust room to our needs- I chose a quiet room at the back as I like to open the window. Beautiful courtyard. Lack of their own parking is a drawback but I used free parking in a road nearby and there is plenty of paid parking available. Good central location. "
