"Lovely stay. Only comments are that the bed was too high and the toilet too low in the accessible room and the shower cubicle was a little small. Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay."

"Very pleasant staff, from arrival check in to departure this stay was first class. The hotel is quaint, traditional and provides a very pleasant atmosphere. Food selection was good and also value for money. I will certainly use the hotel again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to family or friends."

"Runa farm was a brilliant place to stay and i only wish i had more time there. the only thing i would say needed changing in my room would be to get a proper kingsize mattress or a topper so you can feel the zip and one of the chairs sort of blocks access to the shower "

"It was very quiet when i stayed in December, well out of season. But the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. As it was so quiet, the bar wasnt open but there are good pubs a few steps away. I would stay here again quite happily. "

"Old established pub on the outskirts of Barnard Castle, within a 15 min walk of it's shopping area. Decorated to a good standard, room was bigger than average, with all the usual facilities in working order. However the bed was very soft & its mattress in need of replacement. Food the usual pub menu & of a reasonable standard. A good cooked breakfast was within the room tariff, making it a good value stay."
