"The Abbey is stunning, the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The room called the Refectory was lovely. The Bar really lets the place down, it looks like an early 90’s conference area, completely out of keeping with the rest of the hotel. The room we had was disappointing, it was a Superior with Feature. It said it had living space, but it was a separate room with a bed in it and nothing else. The main room had way to much furniture in it, which left only the space round the bed. It was silly...

It's a lovely, quirky old building; as long as you embrace the dated decor and topsy-turvy layout you'll have a perfectly fine stay.
