"We had a great overnight stay at The railway Inn. All staff were very accommodating & Friendly.. Definitely will stay there again on our next visit to Ipswich.. it’s only a 8 minute taxis journey to the Theatre…."

"Nervous to visit after reading reviews. However, there is a lot of refurbishment going on. The downstairs looks fabulous and the car park/outside space is being worked on. The room was ropey, window held open with a block of wood and a pane of glass missing. Curtains not hanging correctly and a socket out. But, we arrived when they were busy and so checking in was delayed. The staff apologised for wait, and the room! The breakfast was absolutely banging and the staff were exceptional. Helpful...

"Stayed here after running the Suffolk Coast Path 50k. What an amazing place, lovely staff, clean rooms, and we sat in an area called the snug - had excellent food service and my wife said the steak was the best she’d ever had."

"We arrived early but checking in was no problem. Very nice people. Food was nice too. Unfortunately we weren't too hungry so didn't get to sample the wonderful breakfast we read about. But the poached eggs were perfect. We stayed in a cabin which had everything you need for a short stay. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say is the basin in the shower room was so small and awkward to use when brushing your teeth. A small niggle. Shower was fine, and very large. "
