"Overall my room was spacious, nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits in the hospitality tray. The publix parts of the hotel are lovely and the restaurant staff were really nice. Only negatives were that bathroom needed few bits of maintenance although again it was very spacious and clean. The duvet cover on my bed has a rip in the seam, just brought down the standard a bit. That said I will book again without hesitation. "

"We have used this hotel a few times and always been very pleased with it. However this time, the room we were allocated was far too close to reception and main area. (I did request quiet room away from traffic but didn’t anticipate being disturbed by other noises). We were hearing the staff chatting, laughing etc early morning and the swing doors nearby were really annoying as they were used regularly and were quite noisy and late in evening and early morning was obviously more noticeable and...

"This was a really lovely stay. We only visited for one night, but the place and the staff were really welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the evening and a generous breakfast in the morning. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Really impressed!"

"Lovely night staying over at Friars Wynd a beautiful little find entering through the bar entrance to our boutique room upstairs “Katrine” was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! The small sink was pretty powerful and we accidentally forested the tap over the sink bowl. Staff on check in gave the warmest welcome detailing everything we needed to know. 100% recommend this lovely place slap bang in the middle of Stirling. With easy access to the train station and shops."

"Stayed here 50 years ago with family …. property has not modernised. Plug sockets lacking in bedrooms, nowhere to plug in kettle, beds hard, no overhead lighting in bedrooms and lighting out on stairs. Staff were attentive, food great and lounge area comfortable."
