"Lovely friendly experience, we were made to feel very welcome. Room was spacious, beds were ok, room was a bit dated overall. Grab and go breakfast was adequate and easy to get to, with fresh milk and a microwave if needed. Bar was nice and cosy and closes at 9pm."

"From the start Staff were very friendly rooms are clean and well appointed. The food menu choice was excellent to the point it was difficult to choose a dish. The food was well cooked and presented with a decent portion for a change. "Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you need somewhere in the area. "
