"Wiveliscombe is a small town a few miles west of Taunton with a distinctly rural feel. The hotel is in the centre and has its own car park. The building is old and certainly characterful. Our room was at the back, reached by a bit of a maze of stairs and passages (no lift but not a problem for us) and was clean, warm and well maintained. The bed seemed slightly hard. Both the room and en suite were a good size and the shower worked well. Breakfast was a continental buffet with a reasonable...

"What friendly staff!!! Everyone was so helpful and chatty. Lovely menu with daily specials, chef's specials and normal pub grub. Nice atmosphere too as it is down a country lane, but locals were eating and drinking there. Will stay there again the next time we are in the areaQ"

"Lots of on-site parking, easy walk into town, its bed only no breakfast but that was fine for us, oddly there was no one on site, access to the property was by emailed code which was tapped into the front door access panel, but that was OK for us, same with the rooms. The only staff member I saw and spoke to was the cleaner. "

Overall very clean, only let down by the rusty rails in the bathroom. Wouldnt put me off staying again, it was so peaceful and comfortable."
