"An excellent hotel for those visiting the IoW travelling from Portsmouth, I had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is on the Esplanade and therefore a short walk from the pier or hovercraft terminal. "The hotel was in a great location - it was basically across the street from the Royal Navy museum and ships, the bus and train station, and Gunwharf Quays. We had a nice breakfast in the morning and the bar had a cozy seating area. The negatives were a terrible mattress on the bed in room 19, which was up or down stairs from a floor that the lift went to, so not great when you are dragging large suitcases. Third negative was that internet only connected on the ground floor, not in the room. ...

The venue is undergoing major refurbishment at the moment, that was fully communicated to us and we were offered the option of cancellation, but that was not an option for us. I don’t really want to comment on anything else about our stay other than to advise the location is first rate and to say that the manager, Sam, is an exceptional young man who is kind, professional and just brilliant, and I hope the venue...
