"Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. "Everything was great with the hotel... except AVOID the restaurant. The food was fine, but it was 2x the price it should have been. For $30 swiss francs, I got a plate of mostly rice with a little chicken tikka on top. I also had to pay extra for naan which was not fresh. We were the only people in there and there no chance they made everything we ordered from scratch based on how fast it came. "
