"Had a lovely day out at the nearby zoo and this hotel was very convenient to be able to stay close by and enjoy a mini break. The staff and service was brilliant and really friendly. The hotel is a little tired in places but the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Disappointed that the swimming pool was closed during our stay but it didn't affect our overall experience. Food in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was also really good with lots to choose from. Would recommend "

"Overall a good stay - The night porter( manager) was excellent. Comfy bed.. Dissapointed by the breakfast - Cold plates! Hot food not that hot and scrambled eggs had gone green as left for too long. Coffee on side not individual pots, cold even when new lot made and cups too small, so kept having to get up for refill."

"In terms of eco-friendliness, although there was a notice saying if we didn't want towels changed, we should hang them up, which we did, the chambermaid gave us clean towels for our second night. "

"This is our forth stay at the Stones, nice hotel, staff are very friendly, bar area is comfortable. I do wonder why when most people share a room they only put one chair in them ? Also a few polite notices in the hall ways to remind other guests to be quiet when walking past the rooms ? That said we would recommend this hotel."

"Bugle is in great location. Appreciated late checkout. Many flights of stairs to access very small overheated room. Bathtub was dirty; no shower option. Noisy location. good continental breakfast. We were only registered guests in large historic bldg. "
