"Our room was lovely - massive, spotless clean BUT the temperature of the room was close to that of a Sauna And there was no way to turn the heating down or off. Staff wonderful. Accommodation in every other way great. I had to go and sit outside the place was so hot. I overheard other hotel guests also complaining of the rediculous heat. I did tell reception who said she had to phone the manager. The response was that it couldn’t be switched off as other guests would be cold. "

"It’s a lovely hotel - all the rooms are large and didn’t feel at all crowded, even in the bar which was quite busy in the evenings. Bedroom was very large and comfortable, with a nice en-suite shower room. A very good breakfast was provided with lots of choice. My only negative is that it is pretty expensive - although we stayed as a ‘treat’ at the end of a touring holiday in the Highlands and it was very nice! 😃"

"This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

"Overall, had a very nice one night stay. Room was very warm, clean and tidy, what more can one ask for. Serve yourself continental breakfast was very good, with a nice fresh fruit selection and plenty of choice with cereals, bread, jams, etc. Location of the guesthouse is very close to the coastal footpath, for those that like walking, and also the golf course (for those that like walking after a little white ball)."
