"When i arrived there was no one on reception. I hung aroung waiting no message to say if anyone would be back, eventually i got the bar man to check me in. The room was comfortable and had everything that was needed for my stay,. In the morning i had a shower the side glass leaked so floor was soaked and even after running for about 25 minutes water was only Luke warm, i reported this to reception was advised to try other times of day and or to run sink tap at same time, neither of these...

"The estate is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay but the the hotel could do with some maintenance. You could not turn off or turn down the heating so it was too hot in the bedroom on the first night. The TV is very small and the screen was slightly damaged, and the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall. 10am checkout is too early! "

"The hotel was a joy to stay at. The staff are fabulous and Nicole at breakfast was so lovely. The food was really good and would recommend the Argento rose as a perfect end to the day. The bar staff would look after an open bottle for us in the fridge. The rooms were so comfortable and the bathroom was perfect and clean. I am definitely coming back on my next visit to Dartmoor. Thank you to all the staff for creating a welcoming hotel."

"Hotel was good, but a little tired, our only criticism was that our room never had a visit from house keeping on a daily basis, apparently you have to request it, unfortunately no one told us this. We would like to mention the receptionist, TRACEY who sorted a couple of problems we had efficiently and promptly, very pleasant throughout our stay "

"Spent a lovely afternoon and night at The Ness. The staff were friendly and welcoming the atmosphere was warm & cosy. We spent the afternoon drinking beautiful wine, playing pub games and soaking up the open fire. Our room was beautifully decorated and a view of the sea. In the evening we ate a fantastic meal and played more games while the weather was wild outside we enjoyed the comfort of the armchairs and fire."
