"We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. "No elevator. The reception is on 2nd floor. The ground floor is with strong cigarette smell. My reservation was for a non-smoking room. However, there was cigarette smell (via A/C?). And, I saw a man (a guest?) smoking in front of the reception desk. The staff was friendly and willing to help. They carried my bag up to my room (on 3rd floor) and down to the ground floor. It could be a good choose for smokers and weight lifters."

"Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. This stop is at the VERY beginning of the ENTIRE area of onsens in Kurokawa onsens. The so-called bus stop that’s 2 minutes away from the lodging is...
