"Our stay here was lovely. We travelled up for a family funeral and was wanting somewere qyiet and peaceful to rest afterwards. The host was very polite and friendly the bed was super comfy and the breakfast was 10 out of 10. We will definateky be using this place when we come to see family from now on "

"Excellent room. I stayed one night on my way down South. My room was up in the attic with an on-suite. It was nicely heated, clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had good water pressure and was very clean. Breakfast was great. 👍 The location was very convenient, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. "Only slight criticism is id like bacon and proper sausages for breakfast, however location was good. Free parking. We got some fresh cookies on arrival which were amazing. Id definitely stay here again if im ever in penrith. Mark was an amazing host. "

"This pub with rooms is perfect for what it is. Room was clean, modern, pleasant. Food was great. People were friendly, kind and welcoming. Close to motorway but quiet and in a pretty village. Used this place to split my journey from London to friends in Scotland. Will use it again. Bravo. "

"Grateful to the Greystoke for stepping in at the last minute after a previous booking elsewhere was cancelled. A quiet location but close enough for walking into the town. No problems booking in or during the 3 days stay. Beware of the big breakfasts - you may not want to move afterwards - but they set you up nicely for the day of exploring the area. A great view from the street on a crisp sunny day."

"The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied."
