"This hotel has been transformed from an old farmhouse, our room was small, but contained mini bar, kettle with possibilies to prepare yourself tea or coffee, there were hair dryer and compulsory toiletries in the bathroom and even safe on the wall. Not common things to have for such a price in Belgium. Bed with quality mattress and very charming old cupboards. And owner or person in charge, who checked us in was also very nice. I'm glad we chose this one."

The Hotel itself had a large restaurant. There is no lift and a very steep staircase to the rooms. Our room had a faulty lock so each time we tried to go out it took several minutes for the lock to catch. We did advise a member of staff but they did not do anything about it. "I don’t recommend this place at all! 3 star is for the River view. Had I known this is actually a youth hostel with some “comfort room” I wouldn’t have booked it at this price for my vacation. River view is not but we had to live with youngsters racing in hallway with big noises at 10:40pm every night! "The location of this hotel is good, and it was clean, staff very nice, but it's a pretty run down old hotel, and our room was really small and terribly hot, even with the window open, and the fan running 24 hours, it was still really hot. Bathroom is tiny. breakfast doesn't open until 9AM, which is quite late if you want to get up and go somewhere, so we had to get breakfast at a different place.
