"The rooms were clean and comfortable, very basic… which is fine because you’re on vacation to see the place around. Speaking of which the location of this hotel is perfect walking distance to most places people come to Cuenca to see. The neighborhood felt safe and walkable (especially compared to Quito). The staff were all very friendly, accommodating, helpful and all spoke at least some amount of English. "

"The property was great due to how close it was to the central part of the city. The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The only thing was you needed to be buzzed into the hotel after past 10pm. You would need for someone to let you in from the street after 10pm. "

"Avoid!!! I arrived at about 5:30 at night, had a booking confirmed for over a week and NOBODY WAS THERE! Rang the bell, messaged and tried to call several times - no reply! People from the shops below were even trying to help me contact them. Finally Expedia customer service helped find me another place to stay, which was thankfully nearby, nicer and less expensive. "We spent two nights in Cuenca to visit one of our workers and while there stayed in the Casa Ordonez. We stayed there because the reviews were so good. We were impressed by the friendliness of the owner and his staff. They were quick to meet all our needs, put us in a better room the second night, arranged tours for us and we just appreciated them so much. Breakfast was very good and different every day! "
