"Nice public areas for swimming, hot tub, lounging -- all with a beautiful view of the lake. Staff were easy to work with and very responsive with requests and questions. Onsite restaurant offered good dinner options at a reasonable cost. The breakfast buffet provided was one of the best on our trip. Private garage for parking was appreciated and convenient."

"We chose this hotel just because it had off site parking as we had a hire car. There was NO PARKING AT ALL. We had to park on the street. Our car was broken into the day we checked out & we had everything stolen. Our suitcases and bags. The toilet flush was stuck to the wall with sellotape. The area is very rough, even walking round with my husband I had men whistling at me blowing kisses. Staff unhelpful & just gave me a key so we had no idea where the room was or breakfast. Do not stay here"

First off: if you arrive by var, there is an entire gated area belonging to the hotel where you can park your car in the shade of olive tree (most hotels in this area only offer right spots which are difficult to get in and out). "Well located for the centre of town. Hotel is well priced and offers fair facilities for money. Free parking, breakfast satisfactory if nothing special. Hotel has no lift which means either 2 or 3 flights of stairs to climb to rooms. Overall if you want a well located hotel at a fair price then the Taormina may well suit you. "We could not fault our stay at Hotel Garni Selene, it has a beautiful pool and lovely large balconies, all with an uninterrupted view of the lake. All of the hotel was spotlessly clean. It was a great location for us and we used the shuttle bus several times to go into Malcesine. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We would haven no hesitation in returning to hotel Garni."
