"Was comfy and area was good. If it hadn't have said that I had a bath shower rather than just a shower it wouldn't have been an issue but just a heads up if that's important to you. Bring your own coffee etc as there's literally just one pod and the room wasn't cleaned for the 5 nights I stayed. Pleasant but basic hotel with no amenities but if you just want to spend a few days by the seaside it's perfect "

"Stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time. Everything was absolutely spot on. Upon arrival, the two people on reception were absolutely lovely and welcoming. The room was nice, comfy and had a lot of character. I seldom have a good nights' sleep when I stay away from home but I slept like a log all three nights. "A fantastic stay. Even better and bigger than the pictures. Great value for money. Perfect location near the train station and all the shops. "I was expecting a small room, as it was advertised at 6sqm. However, it had all the amenities I needed and, much to my surprise, the sizeable, well equipped bathroom was not included in their measurements. I was delighted with the room as a result. Obviously it would be very tight for a couple, but fine for a single person."

"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. "The woman managing the place was very kind and helpful. She gave us tips for walking around the area and finding restaurants.
