"Very good food and drink at very reasonable price. Used mostly by locals and very busy at times and good atmosphere, if you don’t speak Spanish have translate on phone. There is nothing really within walking distance as it’s in an industrial area but a large car repair and tyres within 1/4 mile."

"The staff were very friendly. The room was clean. The location was good and, although not next to it, the old town was very walkable from the hotel. The bed was comfortable and we had no issues."

Extraordinariamente ubicados para acceder al Parque de Cabárceno y al pueblo y, obviamente, al maravilloso entorno de los valles pasiegos y las costa Cantábrica. Mi mención especial para Fernando, que desde el primer minuto es amabilidad y disponibilidad para todo! Repetimos seguro 😀"

"The posada is a beautiful old building, perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Communication was a little difficult with the owners due to my limited Spanish and their limited English - but we managed! We had a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. It was 4km to drive to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of local and homemade food. We stayed here on our way back to Bilbao airport after holidaying further west. It is very rural, south of Santillana...

"It is a very small family run hotel, only 5 rooms. Easy for Santillana del Mar. Off road parking. Great view from bedroom. Very nice owner. But the big advantage is a comfortabe bed and absolute quiet. I slept through to the alarm at 8, considering i am typing this at 4.00 am in my next hotel shows just how unusual it is to sleep that long!"
