"Great location for a visit to Garden of the Gods. A slightly older hotel that was nonetheless very clean. Has been refurbished but could have used a little more attention to detail.( e.g. there was a poorly fitted slip cover on the small sofa in the room; better to replace the sofa) "

"First, we loved the manager, who obviously went out of his way to make our stay great. Liked the mountainview room, nice layout and clean. Only 2 problems were to some degree unavoidable - the fire alarm went off at 6 am, which after a late night with family was tough. Caused by a kitchen flareup quickly extinguished, the alarm lasted a good 15 minute for firetrucks to reset. Also the elevator broke with guests inside, but they were quickly rescued. We would stay again, as very close to Bear...
