"This hotel was well-located in the heart of Heraklion, and the 24-hour desk was very helpful. We got a smaller room but it was still smaller than we expected. Otherwise, check-in and check-out was very flexible, and there’s a relatively cheap parking garage a short walk away if you rent a car."

"Our stay at the Asterion Hotel was short (about 12 hours) but comfortable. The front desk staff were gracious and accommodating to our needs. A special shout out to Stelios, who prepared an awesome continental breakfast for us since we had to leave so early (0430). We scrambled to make our flight so having some good food in us was greatly appreciated. THANKS STELIOS!!!! We look forward to our next trip to Crete and chance to stay at the Asterion."

"arrived in a heatwave at midnight, The premises need a number on the door as the rest of the premises nearby are local The interior walls were insanely hot and needed 3 hours of air conditioning before we could sleep. "First, the host Anastasia was excellent, good communicator and v helpful. The rooms are set back from the main house in a small block. Perfectly comfortable. Location is quite remote. Very peaceful. "The place was adequate but totally different than how it is portrayed in the pictures. The bed was comfortable but the "kitchen" was anything but and the apartment was dirty. "only stayed here for one night, the bathroom taps were leaky - didn't work properly and made a really annoying dripping sound all night. the toilet didn't flush after one usage. the bed was hard as a rock....really bad pillows too. oh and the fridge didn't work either. the place was clean, although really thats the only positive thing i can say. location isn't great either, 30 mins by bus to heraklion. i guess you get what you pay for!"
