"I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. "Just next to tourist attraction area, 5 hells out of the 7 hells within walkable distance. But there’s no frequent shuttle to Beppu station except reservation for check in and check out only."

"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."
