"Just under a mile away from the Horley train station and a short drive to the Gatwick airport. Rooms are spread between the first and second floor with shuttle service and breakfast options available. Minor issues with the room where the shower was not draining properly, but was still able to freshen up. Like most houses in the UK no AC units were available in the room, but the window and time of year provided enough cooling needed for the night. Staff are friendly and the rooms were quiet...

"Becky is an amazing host, met us on our arrival to make sure we were happy with everything or had any questions and helped with bags! Our stay was very enjoyable - seclusion of camping with the luxury of hot showers and the outdoor bath. Our kids loved the hammock. Baby cows in the field made it for us! "My family and I stayed at Wakehurst, it had everything we needed for a cosy and chilled getaway. Lots of nice touches, just be careful not to have the wood burner going too strong before sleeping cos the top can get very warm - figured out how to adjust the fire and everything else at the dome through the helpful guides/qr code accessible videos provided. Hot tub was amazing, they have it warmed up in advance when you arrive and the weather was good enough for us to enjoy the BBQ properly....

The Church dates from 1060 with a 12th/13th C. nave, and north aisle from 1250 - south aisle is 14th C. The chancel is 12/13th C. and may have had an apse, sedilia and piscina on south side of sanctuary are 13th C. The tower was added in the 15th C. The original timber framed spire was destroyed in the Great Storm of 1987 and was replaced with a steel framed version with chestnut shingles at 165 feet. The font is Norman and was lost for years until found nearby being used as a cattle trough! St Denys' church is well known for its wall paintings which date from 13th C. onwards. They were covered over and only discovered in 1893. There is an impressive 15th C. doom painting with Christ seated on a rainbow with the virgin Mary and St John. The Neville chapel is in the north east corner of the church, named after the Neville branch of the Abergavenny family who were Lords of the Manor from 1450. The church is a Grade I listed building.
