"fantastic place, right in the middle of everything, staff were great, room was lovely. every busy so it's not a quiet place if that's what your looking for and parking isn't easy but whitby is a very busy place, we managed to park across the road which was great we really enjoyed our stay and will come back"

"When I arrived there was no one to show me to my room. I phoned the number on my booking but they could not find any record of me having booked with the itinerary number I was given. They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). "After driving through traffic for almost 4 hours, when we arrived an older man with a mobile phone told us we did not in fact have a booking, that the hotel did not in fact exist as a hotel - even though all signage was still up. The man asked me to speak with head office on his phone who confirmed no booking, regardless of my e-mail confirmations. "Lovely clean and neatly compact cottage, hidden away in an ideal location for Whitby town and harbour/beach amenities. Communication with the owner was top class and prompt replies, nothingvwas too much trouble. My family had a very relaxing time at the property, my 3 teenage boys would definately return again with us.
