"The rooms were old and needed major upgrades. The beds were ancient. The stairs up and down, little hallways, and more stairs, throughout the hotel were like a maze. The bartenders and wait staff were excellent and the location was good. But there are much better choices for the amount we paid."

From the friendly doorman to Dermot the concierge who took our bags, ordered our taxis etc, to the lovely receptionists and that was before we took in the beautiful decor, comfort and layout of bars and restaurants and before we got to our bedroom which was more like a suite as was huge with a lovely view of the estate. "The reception staff was friendly, helpful, and informative during check in. The breakfast staff was also responsive. I had to go to the bar to get a menu. The fish and chips were good. I had to ask for my bill. The room was good but the bathroom had plumbing issues. I would stay again for the overall value. "
